Utilization of Philippine Aptitude Classification Test (PACT) Result in Career Awareness Program

This study determined the alignment of students’ Senior High School track and course preference in college with their aptitude probable performance educational programs. It is descriptive nature. The respondents were Junior students who took Philippine Aptitude Classification Test (PACT) Year 2014–2015 enrolled Grade 12 at Holy Name University for 2017–2018. Frequency counting aptitude, different programs, preferred school career choice made. Results revealed that majority STEM track. More than half got low aptitudes fit to only one three programs based on nine (9) clusters identified PACT a significant number did not any Many courses chosen by while they still 9 are under services, engineering manufacturing, health welfare clusters. so, related followed manufacturing cluster those ABM HUMMS Social Science, Business Law cluster. Career choices made aligned which could be source future job-skills mismatch or misfit graduates. guidance seen as an imperative successful awareness program viewed possible intervention early 7 10.
